DAAD University-Business Partnership

Digital Lifestyle Germany-Malaysia

As part of the University-Business partnership Digital Lifestyle Germany-Malaysia, companies and universities in Germany and Malaysia have founded an international network, with the aim of intensifying the cooperation and improving the education of the students of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM).

In the course of this program, the structure and the implementation of praxis-oriented courses for the students of UTM are planned. This interaction between industry and university is an essential feature of German engineering education.

The curriculum involves mobile applications, location-based services (LBS), connected health/digital health, Big Data, Webservices, Software Engineering, driver state and health monitoring as well as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and will bring UTM students closer to the international level of research and teaching.

Since the emerging economic nation of Malaysia is facing the challenges of growing individual traffic, an increase of mobile communications and a lack of public information, these topics have particular regional relevance.

Through the excellence of the participating universities and the interaction with successful companies a very high level of academic training can be achieved.
