Diploma thesis received "Werner von Siemens Excellence Award"

Dipl.-Ing. Moritz Pistor received the "Werner von Siemens Excellence Award" for his diploma theses "Development and Construction of a PDA-based Wearable Wireless Sensor Network for Vital Parameter Monitoring" from the Siemens AG.

The "Werner von Siemens Excellence Award" is presented at selected germany universities annualy for outstanding diploma and master theses that help solve future oriented questions. Together with three other laureates of the RWTH-Aachen, Mr. Dipl.-Ing. Moritz Pistor was awarded with the prize on Monday, July 21st, 2008 in Munich. While writing his diploma theses Mr. Pistor developed a wireless sensor plattform to measure vital parameters like cardiac status. This effort leads to a huge gain of mobility for the user.
