On Wednesday, Nov. 20, 2013, a panel discussion organized by VDE Young Net will take place with Prof. Leonhardt and other panelists on "Career paths in medical technology" .

On Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013, Prof. Leonhardt will lead two panel discussions at the MEDICA HEALTH IT Forum, Hall 15:
" SmartCareUnit - Visions for Modular Humane Intensive Care "  and "Automotive and Medical Technology" .

On Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, Prof. Leonhardt will participate in an expert discussion as part of the "Young Physicians Forum" in Forum 1, Hall 15: " Technological future trends in medicine: new opportunities for studies, careers and business start-ups?" .

Also on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. , the Chair of Medical Information Technology, in cooperation with VDE, will offer a beginner's seminar on the MSP430 microcontroller series from Texas Instruments as part of the MEDICA Health IT Forum.
The seminar is aimed at beginners in microcontroller programming who already have programming experience, for example from the PC environment, but do not yet have any experience in hardware-related programming. Through a series of hands-on exercises on the microcontroller, a microcontroller-based optical heart rate sensor will be developed step by step in the course of the seminar.
