On July 20th, 2016 as a part of the final event of the project/seminar, the award ceremony of the MedIT Hardware Contest sponsored by Texas Instruments took place. The teams had to present their projects and were judged by a jury of research associates of the institute. The winners of this year's contest are:

1st place: Julian Rameil &  Mara Thyssen - "Sicherheitsabschaltung zum Patientenschutz"

2nd place: Franz Bereck & Patrick Bregula - "Temperaturregler"

3rd place: David Kunzendorf  &  Andre Coenen - "Ultraschall-Sensor zur Unterstützung beim Gehen"
