As part of our annual Whitsun excursion, we had the opportunity to spend two exciting days at B. Braun in Melsungen at the end of May.

During our visit, we gained insights into various areas of the company. The plant tours were particularly impressive, offering us a chance to see—among other things—the manufacturing of dialysis machines and various sterilization processes. We also learned more about global production chains and current challenges in the medical technology sector.

Between the plant tours, we attended several interesting presentations, including one by Prof. Leonhardt. The students' numerous questions sparked a stimulating exchange between academia and industry.

A heartfelt thank you to the entire B. Braun team—especially Axel Roddewig and Franziska Reinhardt—for the excellent organization, openness, and hospitality. We greatly appreciated the exchange and the opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at a world-leading medical technology company.
