Last week, Jannik Prüßmann had the opportunity to represent MedIT at the Space2Health & Space2Motion networking event "Car2Health and the Role of the Space Industry as a Driver of Innovation", held at the historic Flugwerft Schleißheim Museum in Oberschleißheim near Munich.

As part of the event, he presented a talk on different sensing modalities suitable for unobtrusive vital sign monitoring in vehicles and discussed the challenges of their application in driver state monitoring.

The topic is particularly relevant these days. As Germany experiences another intense heat wave, the need for reliable vital sign monitoring and the early detection of health risks is becoming increasingly important - not only in extreme environments such as space, but also in everyday settings like vehicles, workplaces, and our homes.
