Due to the  partnership between the Indian Institute of Technology Madras, IITM and the RWTH Aachen University a master and a PhD student of IIT Madras are now working at the Department of Medical Information Technology. The partnership supports projects in the fields of engineering and energy, materials and medical technology, and environment and biology.
