SENSOR Innovation award 2010 for "In-Ear Sensor for Vital Parameter Monitoring"

As part of the Sensor + Test in Nuremberg, the in-ear sensor system, wich has been co-developed by MEDIT, has been awarded with the SENSOR Innovation Prize 2010 by AMA Association for Sensor Technology.

The in-ear sensor, which is a central component of the IN-MONIT sensor concept, has been jointly developed by researchers of CiS Research Institute for Microsensors and Photovoltaik, Audia Acoustics and the Chair for Medical Information Technology. This development is supported by the BMBF and allows the optoelectronic detection of heart rate and oxygen saturation. It will provide 24 / 7 long-term monitoring of risc patients.
